IBM Announces Strong Fourth-Quarter Earnings
International Business Machines Corp. (IBM), headquartered in Armonk, New York, revealed on Wednesday that it achieved a net income of $5.6 billion for the fourth quarter.
The company reported earnings of $5.88 per share, with adjusted earnings—excluding certain one-time items—coming in at $4.52 per share.
These figures surpassed analysts’ expectations. According to Zacks Investment Research, the consensus among seven analysts was earnings of $4.33 per share.
IBM also reported quarterly revenue of $19.69 billion, outperforming the average analyst projection of $19.2 billion, as compiled by Zacks.
