Are major bitcoin miners exiting the crypto sector? Bitcoin hashrate plunge warning sparks panic
Show original
According to a report by Bijie Network: Bitcoin hashrate has dropped significantly from its recent highs. Investor Charles Edwards described this as the most severe miner capitulation in years, suggesting that large-scale miners are exiting the market. Analysts such as IncomeSharks attribute the decline to rising electricity costs and energy market dynamics, rather than a loss of confidence. Critic Jacob King warned that network stress could force miners to sell off Bitcoin, but others have pointed out that such temporary declines have historically coincided with seasonal peaks in electricity demand.
