General Motors to cut one shift and lay off 500 workers at a factory in Canada

Glonghui, January 30th|General Motors Canada announced that it will resume two-shift operations at the Oshawa Assembly Plant starting Sunday, ending the temporary addition of a third shift that was implemented to meet post-pandemic pickup truck demand and replenish low inventory. In addition, the company will cut about 500 jobs.
