Glonghui, January 31|The Canadian S&P/TSX Composite Index closed down 3.31% at 31,923.52 points, opening sharply lower and continuing to decline, stabilizing at a low level in late trading. Since reaching a record closing high of 33,176.07 points on January 28, it has pulled back for two consecutive trading days, with a cumulative increase of 0.67% in January. The small-cap index closed down 5.35% at 1,299.58 points, also retreating from its record closing high for two consecutive days, with a cumulative increase of 8.61% in January.
