Arcium launches its mainnet Alpha version on Solana, Umbra simultaneously rolls out shielded financial layer
PANews, February 2—According to The Block, encrypted computation network Arcium has launched its mainnet Alpha version on Solana, marking the transition of its encrypted computation network from a testing environment to infrastructure for early production use. The project aims to power encrypted capital markets on public blockchains, with its execution engine allowing developers to build verifiable and composable applications while keeping data fully encrypted.
The first application to go live on the network, Umbra, simultaneously launched its "private mainnet," building a shielded financial layer on Solana through a phased rollout, initially offering shielded transfers and encrypted swap functions. Access will be limited in the early phase, with 100 users admitted weekly and a deposit cap of $500. The network is expected to expand access and raise the cap in February.
