According to a report by Bijie Network: GameStop CEO Ryan Cohen announced plans to acquire a major publicly listed consumer goods company, aiming to reshape the company and potentially boost its valuation to several hundreds of billions of dollars. Following the news, GameStop's stock price rose by more than 8% on Monday. There is widespread speculation that GameStop may sell its holdings of 4,710 bitcoin (currently valued at $368 million) to raise funds for the acquisition. Previously, GameStop had already transferred its bitcoin to an exchange last week. Cohen stated that this new strategy is "more attractive than bitcoin."
