Avery Dennison Announces Fourth-Quarter Financial Results
Avery Dennison Corp., headquartered in Mentor, Ohio, reported a net income of $166.4 million for the fourth quarter.
The company’s earnings translated to $2.15 per share, while adjusted earnings—excluding special items—were $2.45 per share.
These adjusted earnings surpassed analyst projections, as six analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research had anticipated $2.40 per share.
During the quarter, Avery Dennison generated $2.27 billion in revenue, which was slightly below the $2.29 billion forecasted by five Zacks analysts.
For the full year, the company posted a profit of $688 million, or $8.79 per share, with total revenue reaching $8.86 billion.
Looking ahead to the first quarter ending in March, Avery Dennison expects earnings per share to be between $2.40 and $2.46.
Since the start of the year, Avery Dennison’s stock has increased by nearly 3%, outpacing the S&P 500’s 1% gain. Over the past year, the stock has risen about 2%.
