These figures exceeded analysts’ expectations, as the consensus from three analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research had projected earnings of $0.11 per share.
During the quarter, the company, which specializes in pet supplies and lawn and garden products, generated $617.4 million in revenue.
Looking ahead, Central Garden & Pet anticipates full-year earnings to reach $2.70 per share.
