Allstate Corp. Announces Fourth-Quarter Financial Results
Allstate Corp., headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, revealed on Wednesday that it earned $3.83 billion during the fourth quarter.
The company reported net earnings of $14.37 per share, with adjusted earnings—excluding one-time gains—coming in at $14.31 per share.
These figures surpassed the expectations of Wall Street analysts, who had predicted an average of $9.82 per share according to a Zacks Investment Research survey of nine analysts.
Allstate’s total revenue for the quarter reached $17.35 billion. Adjusted revenue stood at $17.27 billion, which was below the $17.52 billion anticipated by three analysts polled by Zacks.
For the full year, Allstate reported a net profit of $10.28 billion, or $38.06 per share, with total revenue amounting to $67.85 billion.
Since the start of the year, Allstate’s stock price has experienced a slight decrease, while the S&P 500 index has risen by 0.5%. At the close of trading on Wednesday, Allstate shares were valued at $207.12, marking an 8.5% increase over the past year.
