a16z crypto: Blockchain is even more necessary in the AI era
Foresight News reported that a16z crypto stated in an article that AI is generating voice, video, and text at extremely low costs and enabling mass "human-like" interactions, which is impacting the internet trust system that is based on the premise of "one account corresponds to one real user." They believe that blockchain can fill this gap: by using a "decentralized proof of personhood" mechanism to increase the cost for attackers to impersonate users in bulk, allowing users to own their identities and use them across platforms; creating portable and universal "passports" for intelligent agents, enhancing their identity capacity, authority, and reference information for payment endpoints, and enabling parsing from anywhere to improve agents' anti-forgery capabilities; using L2, smart contracts, etc., to support machine-scale micropayments and programmable revenue sharing; and combining zero-knowledge proof technology to allow users to prove specific facts, such as passwords or ID numbers, without exposing underlying data.
