Will Bitcoin break its 15-year pattern for the first time?
Show original
According to CoinWorld, the global cryptocurrency market capitalization has evaporated by $184 billion, with bitcoin currently testing the key historical support level of $69,000. The Royal Government of Bhutan has sold more than 284 bitcoins, worth $22 million, as part of a series of sell-offs following the halving due to declining mining revenues. Meanwhile, a certain exchange's premium gap has turned sharply negative, indicating strong institutional selling, which is also evidenced by the $545 million net outflow from US spot bitcoin ETFs on February 4, 2026. Data from CryptoQuant shows that short-term holders are panic selling nearly 60,000 bitcoins, incurring losses. The market is closely watching whether bitcoin will break its 15-year pattern of staying above previous cycle highs.
