Camden Property Trust Exceeds Q4 Profit Expectations
Camden Property Trust, a real estate investment trust headquartered in Houston, announced its fourth-quarter financial results on Thursday, reporting stronger profitability than analysts had anticipated.
During the quarter, the company recorded funds from operations totaling $193.1 million, which translates to $1.76 per share. This figure surpassed the consensus estimate of $1.73 per share from six analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research.
Funds from operations, a key performance metric in the REIT sector, is calculated by adjusting net income to add back expenses like depreciation and amortization.
The trust also reported a net income of $156 million, or $1.44 per share, for the quarter.
Quarterly revenue reached $390.8 million, falling slightly short of the $394.6 million forecasted by analysts surveyed by Zacks.
For the full year, Camden Property Trust reported funds from operations of $757.2 million and total revenue of $1.57 billion.
Looking ahead, the company projects its funds from operations for the coming year to be between $6.60 and $6.90 per share.
