The company reported earnings of $1.43 per share, or $1.46 per share after adjusting for special items.

These results surpassed analysts’ expectations, as a consensus of eight experts polled by Zacks Investment Research had projected earnings of $1.29 per share.

During the quarter, the rehabilitation hospital operator generated $1.54 billion in revenue, aligning with Wall Street forecasts.

Looking ahead, Encompass Health anticipates full-year earnings to fall between $5.81 and $6.10 per share, with projected revenue ranging from $6.37 billion to $6.47 billion.
