Hasbro Reports Strong Fourth-Quarter Earnings
Hasbro Inc., headquartered in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, announced a net profit of $201.6 million for the fourth quarter.
The company’s earnings translated to $1.41 per share, or $1.51 per share after adjusting for special items. These results surpassed analyst expectations, as experts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research had predicted earnings of $0.99 per share.
Hasbro’s revenue for the quarter reached $1.45 billion, outpacing the $1.29 billion forecasted by analysts.
Despite the strong quarterly performance, Hasbro reported a full-year net loss of $322.4 million, or $2.30 per share, with annual revenue totaling $4.7 billion.
