Douglas Emmett Inc., a real estate investment trust headquartered in Santa Monica, California, announced its fourth-quarter financial results on Tuesday, meeting analyst forecasts.
During the quarter, the company reported funds from operations totaling $71.2 million, which translates to $0.35 per share. This outcome was consistent with the consensus estimate from three analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research, who also anticipated $0.35 per share.
Funds from operations, a key performance metric for REITs, is calculated by adding back depreciation and amortization to net income, providing a clearer picture of operational profitability.
Douglas Emmett recorded a net loss of $6.8 million, or $0.04 per share, for the quarter. Total revenue for the period reached $249.4 million.
For the full year, the company reported funds from operations of $295.3 million and total revenue of $1 billion.
Looking ahead, Douglas Emmett projects its funds from operations for the upcoming year to fall between $1.39 and $1.45 per share.
