Glonghui, February 11|Intel (INTC.US) surged over 5%, reaching a high of $49.55. According to reports, Intel and SoftBank have jointly developed the next-generation AI memory technology, Z-Angle Memory (ZAM), which made its global public debut. This product adopts a vertical stacking architecture, which is expected to significantly increase capacity while reducing power consumption. Early data shows that ZAM can reduce power consumption by 40% to 50%, with a single chip capacity of up to 512GB, and simplifies the production process through Z-Angle interconnect technology. These features make it a potential solution to the current energy consumption bottleneck and supply chain constraints faced by AI applications. Intel revealed that prototype products are planned for launch in 2027, with full commercialization expected by 2030.
