Wall Street major bank CEOs' compensation returns to 2006 levels

The annual compensation of chief executives at major US banks has now all surpassed $40 million, with total compensation levels exceeding those of 2006 and 2021. Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan is the most recent executive to disclose his compensation, which increased by 17% last year to reach $41 million. Citigroup has raised CEO Jane Fraser's compensation by 22% to $42 million.
