Nasdaq opens down 0.67%, major tech stocks fall broadly, Tesla and Intel drop over 2%

Glonghui, February 17th|At the opening of the US stock market, the three major indexes showed mixed performance: the Nasdaq fell 0.67%, the S&P 500 index dropped 0.27%, and the Dow Jones rose 0.13%. Major tech stocks generally opened lower, with Tesla and Intel down more than 2%, Google A down 1.7%, and Nvidia down nearly 1%. Paramount Global rose 3.5%, Warner Bros. Discovery gained 3%, as Paramount raised its acquisition offer to $31 per share and Warner Bros. restarted a seven-day negotiation window. General Mills fell 4.1%, lowering its annual sales and profit forecasts, with restructuring costs soaring to $165 million. Danaher dropped nearly 5%, announcing it will acquire Masimo for $180 per share in cash.
