As of February 17, the total amount raised in the first public offerings in the United States this year is approximately $7.2 billions. Although there have been 16 deals exceeding $100 millions, the performance of new stocks has been mixed. Industries such as industrial and consumer sectors, which are "immune" to the threat of artificial intelligence (AI), have performed relatively well; however, technology companies have struggled, with some IPO prices having dropped by at least 15%.
