Ethereum platform team officially established to strengthen collaboration between L1 and L2
Foresight News reported that the Ethereum Foundation (EF) has announced the establishment of the Ethereum Platform team, aiming to enable both L1 and L2 to better support users, applications, and all organizations built on Ethereum.
Since the rollup-centric development roadmap was first proposed five years ago, the ecosystem around Ethereum L1 has become increasingly rich, resulting in multiple differentiated L2 chains with unique economic models. The new team will be dedicated to providing a unified platform that fully leverages the unique capabilities of the Ethereum system (L1 + L2), including enhancing the value proposition of L2, promoting the widespread adoption of L2, and fostering value linkage between L2 and Ethereum.
The Platform team will assess the successes and shortcomings of Ethereum as an overall system, proactively evaluate necessary improvements, and focus on the challenges involved in building a robust system. The team's priorities include protocol development, technical integration with developers and institutions, and overall strategic tracking to ensure a well-functioning feedback mechanism between L1 and L2.
