Gelonghui, February 24th|According to data from TradingView, the chart below lists the top 50 companies in the world with the largest cash holdings, with these companies collectively holding approximately $3.1 trillion in cash. Financial companies dominate the list—13 out of the top 50 are financial services firms. Among them, Berkshire Hathaway tops the list with an impressive $382 billion in cash reserves, mainly for strategic reasons rather than regulatory requirements. CITIC Group and Japan's Daiwa Securities Group follow closely, with cash reserves of $171 billion and $131 billion, respectively. In addition, the "Magnificent Seven" U.S. tech giants—Alphabet, Amazon, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla—hold a combined $597 billion in cash. These technology giants maintain large cash reserves both for acquisitions and to guard against potential economic turmoil, such as threats from tariffs or geopolitical conflicts.
