Glonghui, February 25th|Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi, Chief Investment Officer for Wealth Management Americas and Global Head of Equities at UBS, stated that the threat posed by artificial intelligence to software-based companies should prompt investors to shift their focus from technology firms to those deeply rooted in the physical sector, such as mining companies, power producers, and industrial enterprises. Speaking on Tuesday during a break at a financial industry conference in Miami Beach, she said her team is working to shift their investment portfolio from focusing on the "digital economy" to the "real economy." This means buying stocks of equipment manufacturers, electricity generation companies, and resource-based mining firms—those that build the physical infrastructure for the operation of the modern economy.
