J.M. Smucker Co. Reports Third Quarter Financial Results

Located in Orrville, Ohio, J.M. Smucker Co. announced on Thursday that it recorded a net loss of $724.2 million for its fiscal third quarter.

The company reported a per-share loss of $6.79. However, after adjusting for asset impairment and other one-time expenses, adjusted earnings came in at $2.38 per share.

These adjusted earnings surpassed the expectations of Wall Street analysts, who, according to a survey of seven analysts, had anticipated earnings of $2.27 per share.

Quarterly revenue reached $2.34 billion, exceeding the $2.32 billion forecasted by six analysts.

Looking ahead, Smucker projects its full-year earnings to fall between $8.75 and $9.25 per share.
