EXCLUSIVE: Guardforce AI Expands Tech Partnership To Modernize Major Global Brand's Stores

Guardforce AI Co, Limited (NASDAQ:GFAI) said Thursday it expanded its smart retail partnership with the Thailand division of a global sportswear brand, deepening its role in the retailer's nationwide upgrade strategy.

Guardforce AI extended its agreement to continue delivering smart retail business solutions as the brand moves forward with its national renovation plan.

The company now serves as a key technology partner in the rollout.

Guardforce AI received initial requests to install its smart retail systems at five additional stores in 2026, with another installation planned for 2027.

Broader Smart Retail Deployment

The company previously implemented similar solutions at two locations and, in 2025, deployed AI camera systems across 13 additional stores after completing a proof of concept in mid-2025.

Guardforce AI's smart retail platform combines AI-powered CCTV analytics with RFID-based inventory management, helping high-traffic retailers monitor customers, merchandise, and store environments more efficiently than traditional systems.

Chairwoman and CEO Lei (Olivia) Wang said she expects to share further updates on the company's smart retail initiatives in the near future.

Capital Allocation Update And Stock Move

Last week, Guardforce AI's board approved a share repurchase program of up to $5 million.

GFAI Price Action: Guardforce AI shares were up 12.33% at $0.66 during premarket trading on Thursday.
