J.M. Smucker signs agreement with activist investor Elliott to appoint two independent directors

Gelonghui, February 26th|U.S. food and beverage manufacturer J.M. Smucker announced that after engaging in "constructive contact" with activist investor Elliott Investment Management, it has appointed two independent directors, Woo-Sung Chung and David Singer, to its board. The company stated that it has signed an information sharing agreement with Elliott to help create "sustainable value" for all shareholders.
