RXO unveils Middle Mile Solutions
RXO Introduces Middle Mile Solutions for Seamless Supply Chain Integration
RXO, a freight brokerage firm, has unveiled its Middle Mile Solutions service, aiming to unify the initial, middle, and final stages of supply chain logistics. This new offering enables shippers to utilize a comprehensive "dock-to-door" approach, efficiently connecting manufacturing sites to their ultimate destinations.
Demetri Venetis, RXO's president of freight forwarding, explained, "Supply chains are frequently disjointed, requiring shippers to juggle manual tasks and multiple providers. Middle Mile Solutions addresses these challenges by streamlining the process."
Utilizing RXO’s extensive carrier network and nationwide hubs, the service eliminates the necessity for shippers to engage with several vendors. Bulk freight is transported via dry van from pool points to distribution centers and warehouses, allowing customers to optimize inventory placement without investing in their own facilities.
Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, RXO also offers additional services such as warehousing, transloading, kitting, assembly, pick-and-pack, specialized delivery, and reverse logistics.
The foundation of this solution is RXO Connect, the company’s proprietary platform, which provides shippers with full load tracking, automated alerts, and weather updates.
Venetis added, "By merging our technology-driven strategy with our physical hub infrastructure, we can minimize freight damage, shorten transit times, and deliver a better experience for end customers."
