Ambarella Inc. Reports Fourth Quarter Financial Results
Ambarella Inc., headquartered in Santa Clara, California, announced a net loss of $16.4 million for its fiscal fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the company reported a loss of 38 cents. After adjusting for non-recurring items, earnings stood at 13 cents per share.
These adjusted earnings exceeded analysts’ expectations, as the consensus among seven analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research was 10 cents per share.
The company, known for its video-compression chips, generated $100.9 million in revenue during the quarter, surpassing the $100.3 million anticipated by six Zacks analysts.
Looking ahead, Ambarella projects revenue between $97 million and $103 million for the quarter ending in April.
Since the start of the year, Ambarella’s stock price has seen modest gains. However, as of the close of trading on Thursday, shares were valued at $70.90, reflecting a 6.5% decline over the past year.
