Grupo Televisa Reports Fourth Quarter Loss

Grupo Televisa SAB, headquartered in Mexico City, announced on Thursday that it recorded a net loss of $419.7 million for the fourth quarter.

During this period, the company reported a per-share loss of 78 cents.

These figures did not meet analysts' expectations, as a survey by Zacks Investment Research of three analysts had anticipated the company would break even per share.

Televisa generated $794.8 million in revenue for the quarter.

Looking at the full year, the company disclosed a total loss of $460 million, or 86 cents per share, with annual revenue reaching $3.07 billion.
