Wheat Market Wrap-Up: Mixed Results on Thursday
Wheat futures displayed a varied performance on Thursday, with some contracts gaining momentum toward the end of the session. Chicago SRW contracts for the nearby months advanced by 4 to 6 cents. In contrast, Kansas City HRW futures finished 1 to 2 cents lower, while Minneapolis spring wheat remained steady or edged up by as much as 2 cents.
Weather Outlook
Forecasts indicate that a band of precipitation will move through portions of the Southern Plains over the coming week. However, significant areas in the western region are expected to miss out on this rainfall.

Export Sales and International Demand
Weekly export sales data for the week ending February 19 reported a total of 242,964 metric tons, marking a six-week low and a decrease of 9.68% compared to the same period last year. Mexico was the top purchaser with 135,300 MT, followed by Nigeria at 67,900 MT. New crop sales reached 107,015 MT, surpassing expectations and setting a marketing year high for 2026/27.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia has announced a tender for 655,000 MT of wheat, with offers due by Friday.

- May 26 KCBT Wheat finished at $5.62 1/4, down 2 cents
- March 26 MIAX Wheat closed unchanged at $5.84 1/2
- May 26 MIAX Wheat rose to $5.99 3/4, up 1 3/4 cents
