On February 26 local time, Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán published an open letter to Ukrainian President Zelensky on social media. He called on President Zelensky to change his policies, immediately reopen the "Friendship" oil pipeline, and stop further attacks on Hungarian energy facilities. #Orbán accuses Ukraine of damaging Hungarian energy facilities# The "Friendship" oil pipeline is a major pipeline system transporting crude oil from Russia to Central and Eastern Europe. The Ukrainian side stated that due to damage to the "Friendship" pipeline passing through Ukraine during Russian attacks, crude oil deliveries to Hungary, Slovakia, and other countries have been suspended since January 27. Hungary and Slovakia, however, believe that Ukraine deliberately cut off the supply of Russian crude oil and have announced retaliatory measures against Ukraine. (CCTV International News)
