Spain: Preliminary Consumer Price Index (CPI) Estimate
Projected CPI Inflation for February 2026
According to preliminary figures from the INE, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is expected to show an annual inflation rate of 2.3% in February 2026. This early estimate suggests that the yearly rate will hold steady, with energy prices also reflecting a 2.3% change. The trend is influenced by a reduction in electricity costs anticipated for February 2025. As a result, when excluding the impact of fuels and lubricants for private vehicles, as well as restaurant, food, and alcohol services, these categories are projected to see higher price increases compared to the previous year. The provisional annual variation rate of the CPI remains under review.
