Maximize Your Investing Potential with Zacks Premium

No matter your background or level of expertise, every investor aims to make the most of the stock market and invest with assurance. Zacks Premium provides a variety of resources to help you achieve these goals.

This renowned research platform empowers you to become a more knowledgeable and confident investor. Subscribers receive daily updates on the Zacks Rank and Industry Rank, access to the exclusive Zacks #1 Rank List, in-depth equity research reports, and advanced stock screening tools.

Additionally, Zacks Premium members can utilize the Zacks Style Scores for further insight.

Understanding Zacks Style Scores

Created to complement the Zacks Rank, the Zacks Style Scores are unique indicators that evaluate stocks according to three popular investment strategies. These scores help investors identify stocks with the highest probability of outperforming the market in the next month.

Each stock receives a grade from A to F based on its value, growth, and momentum attributes. Similar to academic grading, an A is superior to a B, and so forth—higher scores suggest a greater chance of strong performance.

The Style Scores are divided into four main types:

Value Score

Value investors focus on uncovering quality stocks that are undervalued by the market. The Value Score analyzes metrics such as price-to-earnings, PEG, price-to-sales, price-to-cash flow, and other ratios to pinpoint stocks trading below their intrinsic worth.

Growth Score

Growth-oriented investors prioritize companies with robust financial health and promising outlooks. The Growth Score evaluates both historical and projected earnings, sales, and cash flow to find stocks likely to deliver consistent growth over time.

Momentum Score

Momentum investing is based on the principle that trends can be advantageous. This approach seeks to capitalize on positive or negative movements in a stock’s price or earnings forecasts. The Momentum Score incorporates factors like recent price changes and shifts in earnings estimates to highlight optimal moments to invest in high-momentum stocks.

VGM Score

For those who prefer a comprehensive approach, the VGM Score combines value, growth, and momentum into a single rating. This composite score, especially when used alongside the Zacks Rank, helps investors zero in on companies that excel across all three dimensions.

How Style Scores Enhance the Zacks Rank

The Zacks Rank is a proprietary system that leverages changes in earnings estimates to guide investors toward building successful portfolios.

Stocks rated #1 (Strong Buy) have historically delivered an impressive average annual return of +23.86% since 1988—more than twice the S&P 500’s performance. However, with over 200 companies often holding a Strong Buy rating and another 600 at #2 (Buy), choosing the right stocks can be daunting.

With so many top-rated options, narrowing down your choices can be challenging.

This is where Style Scores prove invaluable.

To maximize your chances of success, focus on stocks with a Zacks Rank of #1 or #2 and Style Scores of A or B. If you’re interested in a stock with a #3 (Hold) rating, ensure it also has top Style Scores to enhance its potential.

Since Style Scores are designed to work in tandem with the Zacks Rank, pay close attention to the direction of earnings estimate revisions when making investment decisions.

For example, a stock rated #4 (Sell) or #5 (Strong Sell), even with high Style Scores, is likely facing declining earnings forecasts and may be at risk of a price drop.

Owning more stocks with a #1 or #2 Rank and A or B Style Scores increases your odds of strong performance.

Featured Stock: Las Vegas Sands (LVS)

Headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, Las Vegas Sands is a prominent global developer of integrated resorts, with operations spanning the United States and Asia.

Currently, LVS holds a #3 (Hold) Zacks Rank and boasts an A-rated VGM Score.

Momentum investors should keep an eye on this Consumer Discretionary stock. LVS has achieved an A in the Momentum Style Score, with its shares climbing 6.2% over the past month.

In the last two months, three analysts have raised their earnings projections for fiscal 2026, pushing the Zacks Consensus Estimate up by $0.02 to $3.18 per share. LVS has also delivered an average earnings surprise of +19.5%.

Top Analyst’s “Best Pick to Double”

Out of thousands of stocks, five Zacks experts have each selected their top choice expected to soar by 100% or more in the coming months. From these, Director of Research Sheraz Mian has identified the one with the greatest potential for explosive growth.

This company appeals to millennial and Gen Z consumers, generating nearly $1 billion in revenue last quarter. A recent dip in its share price presents a timely opportunity to invest. While not every top pick achieves extraordinary gains, this stock could outperform previous winners like Nano-X Imaging, which surged 129.6% in just over nine months.
