Glonghui March 2|Due to the extension of a comprehensive flight suspension by airlines in the Persian Gulf region, some of the world's busiest airports have experienced severe disruptions, causing chaos in travel across the Middle East and other regions, and leading to a sharp decline in airline stocks. Emirates has suspended all flights to and from Dubai until 3:00 p.m. local time on Monday and warned that the disruption will last until Thursday. Etihad Airways has extended its flight cancellations until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, while Qatar Airways announced that flights to and from Doha are suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace. The flight disruptions have also affected various parts of Asia, with Cathay Pacific Airways cancelling some flights to the Middle East until March 5; IndiGo has extended its suspension until Tuesday.
