Economist: The market is observing the Middle East situation, and it is too early to make major portfolio adjustments
Show original
格隆汇 March 3|Anthony Willis, Senior Economist at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, stated in a report that financial markets are currently relatively calm, waiting to observe further developments in the Middle East conflict. "Now is not the time to make significant adjustments to investment portfolios." He pointed out that historical experience shows geopolitical shocks may drive market volatility, but for lasting impact, economic fundamentals must change. In most cases, financial markets are quite adept at "seeing through" geopolitical events. "Whether it is corporate earnings or economic growth, the fundamentals remain robust." Therefore, the market as a whole demonstrates resilience, "but we still need to pay attention to developments in the coming days and weeks."
