CI Global Asset Management announced that its CI Gold Bullion Fund has been renamed CI Gold Bullion ETF, effective today. The fund trades under the ticker VALT on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The name change does not affect the fund’s ticker symbol, CUSIP number, investment objective or investment strategies. The ETF seeks to buy and hold substantially all of its assets in gold bullion, with its gold holdings stored in custodian treasury vaults in London, England.

The fund carries a management fee of 0.155% and was named the 2025 LSEG Lipper Fund Award winner for the best ETF in the commodity category over three years. According to the company, this represents the lowest management fee of any gold bullion fund in Canada.

The ETF is available in three series: ETF C$ Hedged Series Units (VALT), ETF C$ Unhedged Series Units (VALT.B) and ETF US$ Series Units (VALT.U). Performance data shows the fund returned 76.9% over one year, 37.1% over three years, and 21.5% over five years as of January 31, 2026.

CI Global Asset Management is a subsidiary of CI Financial Corp and serves more than 1.3 million investors through financial advisors, wealth management firms and institutions.
