Box Inc., headquartered in Redwood City, California, revealed its financial performance for the fiscal fourth quarter, reporting a net income of $81.7 million.
The company's earnings translated to 47 cents per share, with adjusted earnings—excluding certain one-time items—coming in at 49 cents per share.
These results surpassed analysts' expectations, as a consensus of five analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research had anticipated earnings of 33 cents per share.
During the quarter, Box generated $305.9 million in revenue, exceeding the $304 million forecasted by three Zacks analysts.
For the full fiscal year, Box posted a profit of $115.4 million, or 58 cents per share, on total revenue of $1.18 billion.
Outlook for the Upcoming Quarter and Year
Looking ahead to the quarter ending in April, Box projects earnings of 36 cents per share and expects revenue to reach approximately $304 million.
For the entire fiscal year, the company anticipates earnings of $1.55 per share, with projected revenue totaling $1.27 billion.
