Jinse Finance reported that a virtual currency named after Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has recently emerged. According to Kyodo News on the 3rd, the Financial Services Agency of Japan is considering launching an investigation into companies involved with the use of Prime Minister Takaichi's name in the "SANAE TOKEN" (Sanae Coin). It is reported that the issuer of this virtual currency has not completed necessary procedures such as registration as a virtual currency dealer, and began selling the token from the 25th of last month. The official website features a photo of Prime Minister Takaichi and states: "Sanae Coin is not just a meme coin, but also Japan's hope." In response, Prime Minister Takaichi posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account the night before, saying: "I have never approved this token," and declared that she has no connection with the virtual currency. She stated: "I heard that some transactions have already taken place," "Perhaps due to the name, there have been many misunderstandings, but I am completely unaware of this token."
