NEAR co-founder: AI agents will become the main users of blockchain
PANews, March 4th — According to CoinDesk, NEAR co-founder Illia Polosukhin stated that the future users of blockchain will be AI agents, with AI serving as the front-end interface and blockchain as the back-end infrastructure. He believes that AI will abstract away complex technologies such as wallets and browsers, enabling users to complete payments, asset management, and governance voting without directly interacting with blockchain. He pointed out that the proliferation of blockchain browsers actually exposes the failure of technological abstraction. Polosukhin criticized Meme coins for damaging the industry's reputation and discouraging serious AI researchers. He believes that in the future, AI systems will represent users in tasks such as paying bills and allocating capital, at which point blockchain will be needed to provide a trustworthy execution environment, privacy protection, and programmable financial coordination capabilities.
