IoTeX launches claims portal, clarifies that compensation funds do not come from the sale of IOTX tokens
Odaily reported that IoTeX has released another update on its security incident after suffering a suspected private key leak and hacker attack. The company announced that its claims portal is now officially online, and users affected by the attack can submit compensation applications. All affected users will receive compensation. IoTeX stated that users whose affected assets total less than $10,000 will be compensated in stablecoins, covering more than 90% of affected users. Users whose affected assets exceed $10,000 will receive full compensation in stages and may receive additional rewards. IoTeX also clarified that the compensation funds do not come from the sale of IOTX tokens, but from the foundation's treasury (bitcoin + stablecoins). Currently, fund tracking and law enforcement efforts are ongoing, and all recovered stolen assets will be used directly for compensation.
