Germany: Business activity expands at fastest pace in four months in February
Germany’s Service Sector Gains Momentum in February
According to the latest HCOB PMI® survey, February brought renewed strength to Germany’s service industry, with business activity expanding at its fastest pace in four months. This improvement was largely driven by increased demand.
Despite a slight rise in outstanding work for the first time in four months and continued optimism about future growth, the sector experienced another notable reduction in employment halfway through the first quarter.
Service providers continued to face significant cost pressures, though the pace of inflation eased somewhat compared to January.
