Earnings amounted to $0.04 per share, while adjusted earnings, which exclude special items, reached $0.15 per share.
These figures surpassed analysts’ expectations, as the consensus among four Zacks Investment Research analysts had predicted earnings of $0.06 per share.
The company, which specializes in affordable eyewear and eye care services, generated $503.4 million in revenue during the quarter, exceeding the $499.4 million forecasted by three Zacks analysts.
For the full year, National Vision Holdings reported a total profit of $29.6 million, or $0.37 per share, with annual revenue reaching $1.99 billion.
Looking ahead, the company anticipates full-year earnings to fall between $0.85 and $1.09 per share, with projected revenue ranging from $2.03 billion to $2.09 billion.
