Canadian Natural Resources Reports Strong Fourth Quarter Results
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd., headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, announced on Thursday that it achieved a net profit of $3.8 billion in the fourth quarter.
The company reported earnings of $1.82 per share for the quarter. After accounting for one-time items, adjusted earnings stood at 59 cents per share.
These results surpassed analyst expectations, as the consensus from three analysts polled by Zacks Investment Research had predicted earnings of 53 cents per share.
During the quarter, the oil and gas producer generated $7.68 billion in total revenue, with adjusted revenue reaching $6.89 billion. Both figures were higher than the $6.62 billion anticipated by analysts surveyed by Zacks.
For the full year, Canadian Natural Resources recorded a profit of $7.74 billion, or $3.69 per share, with annual revenue totaling $27.74 billion.
