Bittensor plans to transition from PoA consensus to nominated proof-of-stake this year
Foresight News reports, according to The Block, Bittensor plans to launch a governance update in the first half of this year, allowing validators and subnet owners to vote on future protocol upgrades. In addition, over the next few months, Bittensor will transition from its Proof of Authority (PoA) consensus model—which only allows specific participants to approve ledger changes—to a more democratic Nominated Proof of Stake (Nominated PoS).
