The average gasoline price in Seoul, South Korea exceeds 1,900 won per liter for the first time in over three years.

According to Opinet, the oil price information service platform under Korea National Oil Corporation (KNOC), as of 9 a.m. local time on Friday, the average gasoline price in Seoul rose by 27.5 won from the previous day to 1,916.5 won per liter; the average diesel price increased by 38.9 won to 1,934.1 won per liter. This is the first time in three years and seven months that gasoline prices in Seoul have broken through the 1,900 won per liter mark. The last time diesel prices surpassed this threshold was three years and three months ago, in December 2022.
