He will meet with executives from Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Technologies, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell International, and L3 Harris Technologies to emphasize the need to increase production of key weapon systems as inventories are depleted due to conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. Previously, the White House denied concerns about ammunition shortages. Before the US and Israel began bombing Iran, Trump repeatedly criticized top defense companies for investing too little in weapons production and too much in dividends and stock buybacks.
