(1) The Sheskharis oil terminal, located in the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossiysk, has resumed loading operations after a weekend shutdown. According to vessel tracking data, the tankers Psara I and Hanuman are currently berthed at berths No.1 and No.2, respectively. Port agents have confirmed that another tanker, Briont, has also docked at berth No.7, marking the return to operation of this critical facility. (2) This resumption is of significant importance to the global energy market. A week ago, sources revealed that the Sheskharis terminal had remained closed since last Monday after a drone attack hit six out of its eight loading berths, rendering the facility inoperable. (3) Against the backdrop of production cuts by major Middle Eastern oil-producing countries such as Saudi Arabia due to geopolitical conflicts, the restart of this key Russian export terminal has provided some relief to global supply. Novorossiysk is a vital oil export hub for Russia in the Black Sea region, and its operational status directly impacts the flow of global crude oil trade. (4) Institutional analysis suggests that although tensions in the Middle East remain high, Russia's restoration of Black Sea export capacity helps to diversify market concerns over supply disruptions in a single region. However, Black Sea shipping still faces uncertainties, and the market needs to continue monitoring the operational stability of this area.
