The Ferri embedded storage series from Silicon Motion is engineered to provide dependable boot capabilities for AI-powered devices. Among the offerings is the FerriSSD, a compact PCIe Gen4 x4 NVMe boot drive known for its robust power management, advanced data protection, and reliable startup performance. This drive is ideal for tasks such as operating system loading, firmware booting, and continuous data logging in both industrial and AI data center environments. The company has already started supplying this solution to leading partners in the AI sector.
Other products in the Ferri lineup include Ferri-UFS (UFS 3.1) and Ferri-eMMC (eMMC 5.1), which are tailored for energy-efficient, compact devices that require high reliability. All Ferri solutions incorporate IntelligentSeries features, such as power-loss safeguards, encryption, and sophisticated NAND management, ensuring consistent and secure operation.
Silicon Motion is also targeting the rapidly expanding automotive AI computing sector, where dependable boot storage is essential for advanced vehicle technologies like ADAS, infotainment systems, and domain controllers. Beyond embedded storage, Silicon Motion is introducing its MonTitan enterprise SSD controller series, featuring the SM8366 PCIe Gen5 controller.
