Sources: The US is considering easing sanctions on Russian oil
Show original
According to Golden Ten Data on March 10, citing foreign media reports, three sources familiar with the matter revealed that the Trump administration is considering easing oil sanctions on Russia to alleviate the surge in global energy prices caused by the Middle East conflict. The relevant announcement could be made as early as Monday local time. This move could also complicate U.S. efforts to deprive Russia of revenue from the Ukraine conflict. The sources stated that the discussions may include broad sanction relief measures, or more targeted options that would allow certain countries (such as India) to purchase Russian oil without fear of U.S. penalties, including tariffs.
