Crypto political action committee Fairshake invests $8.6 million in Illinois elections
PANews, March 10 — According to Cointelegraph, the political action committee Fairshake, supported by Ripple Labs and several other crypto companies including an exchange, has invested approximately $8.6 million in the Illinois congressional elections. According to documents submitted to the Federal Election Commission, the committee spent over $5.5 million opposing Illinois Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton's campaign for Senate, and about $1.8 million opposing State Representative La Shawn Ford's campaign for Congress. The affiliated organization Protect Progress invested around $174,000 in support of Nikki Budzinski and Robin Kelly. Fairshake currently holds $193 million in funds and has explicitly stated that it will "oppose anti-crypto politicians and support pro-crypto leaders" in the 2026 elections.
