Trump threatens to stop signing any bills before the passage of the Voter ID Act, which may affect the progress of crypto regulatory bills.

According to Odaily, U.S. President Trump stated at the Florida Republican Party convention that he will refuse to sign any other legislation until Congress approves the "SAVE America Act," a bill concerning voter identification, proof of citizenship, and restrictions on mail-in ballots.

This stance may hinder the long-awaited Digital Asset Market Clarity Act anticipated by the crypto industry. The crypto bill is currently undergoing tough negotiations in the Senate Banking Committee, after having already passed the Senate Agriculture Committee.

Although Trump has been calling for improved crypto regulation since early last year and has made it a White House priority, he is currently insisting that the voter identification bill is his top priority, calling it key to ensuring Republican victories in the midterm and future elections.
